With built-in room calibration processing, each speaker can be programmed with delays, level adjustments, and equalizations to ensure accurate response in your room. ENVIRONMENTAL CALIBRATIONThe SM series offers users full control of 8 parametric EQs, delays up to 12 ms, and speaker level adjustment. These parameters can be accessed and modified via the app Kali Control Panel, available for Mac and Windows. It is important to note that since these parameters are processed by the same DSP hardware already in line, the use of user-defined DSP does not introduce additional latency in the system. Overall digital latency is low enough to even allow real-time tracking with the SM series. Built-in calibration eliminates the need for a dedicated external processor, while also avoiding errors that can occur with software plug-ins. Calibration is available for any source connected to the speaker, without the need for software, and will never be active on the exported audio track. Kali has documented in detail the recommended procedures for room calibration. If you perform the measurements yourself, we can provide room calibration files for a small fee per speaker. Drivers 1” Aluminum Dome Tweeter The SM Series aluminum tweeter delivers excellent dynamics, with a clear, distortion-free high-frequency response. A unique geometry reduces high-Q ultrasonic resonances, eliminating the harshness that can cause metal tweeters to become fatiguing over time. 4” Optimized Midrange The 4” midrange driver is designed not only for its frequency range, but also to act as a waveguide for the tweeter. The shape is precision engineered for ideal directivity, with excursion limited to less than 1mm to prevent intermodulation distortion. Stabilized flow woofer The SM Series woofer includes technologies that reduce magnetic flux modulation, dramatically reducing distortion.
